Art on 56th is pleased to announce Collective 2016, over the theme Never been seen, a group show that gathers the artworks of various artists represented by our gallery. The exhibition will run from July 21st through September 10th 2016 and will showcase works executed between 2015 and 2016 and exhibited for the first time.

Collective 2016 will bring together Art on 56th diverse roster of artists in a summer exhibition that features both emerging and established talent from the Middle East and their most recent body of work. The 27 artists include: Saoud Abdallah, Alaa Abou Shahine, Safaa El Set, Mouneer Al Shaarani, Georges Bassil, Tarek Butayhi, Zouheir Dabbagh, Naim Doumit, Pinar du Pre, Nawar Haedar, Joëlle A. Kurdy, Hasko Hasko, Anas Homsi, Nazir Ismail, Zeina Kamareddine, Dyala Khodary, Rafik Majzoub, Edgard Mazigi, Abdullah Murad, Boshra Mustafa, Iyad Naja, Riyad Ne’mah, Baris Saribas, Edward Shahda, Reem Yassouf, Yigit Yazici, Raffi Yedalian, Yamen Yousef and Nassouh Zaghlouleh. The space will exhibit artworks in a large variety of media, including painting, sculpture, work on paper and photography. This colorful exchange of unique themes and materials highlights the powerful meaning of images and the prominent role of art in chronicling Middle Eastern history, society and its multi-layered landscape. As markers of a growing regional art scene, the artists’ works as a whole are a testament to the flourishing Middle Eastern artistic canon, and reveal the ways in which personal approaches to art serve to construct a collective, creative narrative.
